Table Football

This is another clip that I rememer first seeing years ago. Of course, thanks to the miracle of YouTube, it was easy to fin. Amazing table football skills - just amazing.

Matrix Ping Pong

I played some ping pong yesterday and was reminded of this video that I first saw ages ago. It's extremely funny and unbelievably clever.

Finger Picking This n' That

This video was featured on YouTube. I know nothing about guitars, but I think it sounds really nice. It's some absolutely awesome playing, and he now has a huge fan base. The brilliant thing about YouTube is that it shows you that there are millions of very talented people in the world, even if they are not big stars. This is an old American man who likes playing the guitar. 130,000 people have watched him. Perhaps through user generated online communities, like blogs and YouTube, we have finally found a way to show what we like, and not to be told what we like?

Spoof Nike Ad

This spoof Nike ad was made by students at the University of Manchester. Not only do they show some amazing football skills (I was told they won the University Football League, but I might be wrong), but the film is also really well made.

1664 Ad

Continuing with the ad theme. As DavidF said, 1664 make some good ads. This is one of them:

The Best Ad of All Time?

Before I go away for the weekend, I leave you with one very pertinent question: is this the best ad of all time? When you analyse the HUGE response to it, with it being blogged everywhere online and everyone talking about, you'd have to say yes. People wanted to watch it just because of how creative and beautiful it was. From an advertising and creative perspective, is there anything better?

Check out here for higher quality.

Have a great weekend

Stella - the Doctor

More brilliant Stella work! I'm sure that most of you have seen this ad. It's similar to the one from yesterday in style. I love the fact that you don't need to speak a word of French to understand it.

Stella Artois ad - The Pilot

I love this ad. It's extremelly well filmed and very creative. The first time that I saw it I actually thought that it was part of a film until the end. In two minutes they have everything anyway - suspense, excitement, and of course, humour.

The best part is the barman's expression at the end.

The Hoff Pipex Ad

This is wrong... Just so so wrong. I can't actually tell if it's a joke or not. I think that Pipex see it as a joke but Dave actually thinks it's a fantastic ad. It's the sort of thing I can imagine him thinking.

Jump in My Car

David 'The Hoff' Hasselhoff's new music video. There are two ways to watch this: laughing hysterically, or eyes and mouth wide open in disbelief.

Don't hassel The Hoff!!!

80s music videos

This website, despite its misleading name (http://www.insuranceandnews.com/), is a collection of thousands of 80s music videos. I think that my favourite might be the Village People - You Can't Stop the Music, for pure entertainment value. Quality stuff...

ABC The Look of Love is proper 80s too... You've got to love it.

Nobody's Watching Part 3

And part 3:

I've now seen this first episode several times, and I love it, but I think that I can see why they didn't decide to make it into a series until recently. I think that it's got limited potential. How much can you really do with the scenario that they've set up?

Nobody's Watching Part 2

Part 2...

Nobody's Watching

The title of this clip is very ironic - everybody's watching. Let me give you a little background. This was a pilot produced by WB and the guys who did Scrubs and Family Guy. After the first episode was made, it was ditched. However, it has been uploaded onto YouTube (in three parts), and has had such a huge success that NBC are going to make it! I love it!

Part 2 tomorrow if you can't be bothered to look online for it, and part 3 Sunday. What do you guys think?

Pictures in pictures in pictures in...

I had loads of fun when I discovered this. It just goes on forever! It's like one of those posters that is made up of tiny pictures, except that the tiny pictures are made out of pictures... It's fun.

France

Hello all!

Some of you may have gathered that I am in France at the moment. This does of course mean that I am on holiday, and hence the irregular times of my posts. This is why I am posting this at a ridiculous hour in the morning, and the one tomorrow is going to be very late. This is today's, I promise that I will write a long one soon! I had promised myself that I would actually write something interesting and personal at least once a week, and I'm already failing at the first week!

Anyway, today's Cuppa Tea is B3ta. It is a whole teapot of timewasters in itself, especially its questions of the week. Be warned, not always suitable for a work computer!!! Wish me luck with my 4.5 hours drive tomorrow...

Ecotonoha

I really wanted to put a long post up today, but I have run out of time, and guests have arrived! So lets save the world instead:

Ecotonoha will plant a tree for every 100 posts to their website. Run by Japanese company NEC, it's doing quite well. Get it into your daily routine and we might actually make a difference!

This is a trailer for a French film that I found on boreme.com. God I wish I could do this...

Lovingly uploaded to youtube for you guys!

This is probably the best school show ever. It's fantastic (until the sound guy messes up).

Magic

This website seems incredible at first, but look at it in a logical way and you'll soon figure out the trick. It's quite good for fooling friends for a bit though!

David Elsewhere

To continue with the dancing theme, this is David Elsewhere (now quite famous) at Korean festival Kollaboration in 2001. He's the thin white boy in the orange jumper.

I just love the fact that he looks so geeky at first! Impressive though...

Here It Goes Again

This post is earlier than usual because I'm out for much of tomorrow. Continuing (as promised) with the dancing theme. This has been circling around quite a lot (nearly 2 million views on YouTube). However, if you haven't seen it, this wonderfully creative music video by Ok Go is a must.

Tomorrow, I'm off to the Plateau des Glières! I'd link to a wikipedia article, but it doesn't exist. Oh well.

Evolution of Dance

If you don't at least smile whilst watching this, you have some serious problems. You've got to admire this guy's talent. Come to think of it, this might be a good time to start a bit of a dancing trend. I've got a couple of other dancing videos for you over the next couple of days.

Following on from yesterday, how many of you have read Scott Adams' blog? Which is your favourite post?

The hangover cure - a Cuppa Tea

Seeing as it's Monday, I'll do something a little bit more substantial. The big question - why am I doing this blog?

The answer is quite simple - because it's something that I'd want to read. Here's what you do - next time you wake up on a Saturday morning with sand in your mouth and a gnome with a sledge hammer banging you on the head (also known as a hangover), gather the other survivors, go to http://cuppa-tea.blogspot.com, and just plough through those archives. It works even better if you have a couple of liters of water and an ibuprofen as well. Yes that's right, it's what you've suspected all along, the Cuppa Tea blog is a hangover cure. Hell, I'll probably use it! Of course it is much more effective if you can watch more hysterical videos, visit more timewasting websites and read more hilarious jokes. This is the third post, so you'll have to wait a couple of weeks before you can drink irresponsibly with the knowledge that you have an infallible cure to rely on.

So this thing is all about helping others! And you can help by sending in your own timewasters. Click on 'Send me a Cuppa Tea' on the right and hey presto - an email to cuppatea.blog@gmail.com. Don't worry - I've got plenty of tea bags to turn into Cuppsa Tea through the process of 'posting'. Here's today's:

The Dilbert Blog is written by Dilbert author Scott Adams, and has been my biggest Cuppa Tea for the last few weeks. It is terribly funny and also very thought provoking - he's a clever man. He also gets most of the readers to leave comments - which in turn make for a good read either because:
a) they're very interesting
b) they're very stupid
c) they're very funny
I must say that it's inspired me to have the goal to get loads of comments on this blog. It seems like it would be fun to check my email and see lots of new comments. I'd probably even try to read them all the first time! Anyway, my two favourite blog entries by Scott are The Devil and Talking to God. I don't like them for any religious reason, they just amuse me (and provoke lots of readers to comment 'b' style).

By the way, this would be a great moment for you to leave me a comment and tell me who you are!

World Cup 2006 Stats

I found this website the other day and I think that it's fantastic. It is a collaboration of unofficial stats from the World Cup, with everything you REALLY want to know - who were the biggest divers, who bullied the referee etc... Trust me - there's nothing better than being able to spurt out this information at the local pub.

By the way, does anyone know if Frank Lampard's statistics at the World Cup actually made him the worst finisher at a World Cup ever?

Skiing in Japan

This is the first ever Cuppa Tea! This hysterical video firmly puts me off skiing in Japan:

I think that it's even funnier when you don't speak Japanese! What do you think? More tomorrow!
